Detailed schedule
The quick facts
- If you're at EMF, demoscene content is mostly at Workshop 2, after 17:00 BST on Friday and Saturday
- The demoparty itself (that is, the main compo block), with the competitions, is at 19:00 BST on Saturday
- We will try to show everything at the party on Twitch.
Friday Programme
17:00 - Watching Demos and Chill
Location: Workshop 2. Host: RaccoonViolet.
Come and hang out with us as we watch some of our favourite demos. If you're not sure what a demo is and would like to see some, a demoshow is a good place to start. If you want to chat with demosceners, this is also a good place to be.
18:30 - Demoscene Planetarium Screening
Location: The Planetarium.
We have a planetarium dome on site and you can make visuals for it! Check out the compos page for details. You will be able to vote for your favourites at the demoparty on Saturday.
19:30 - Demoscene Livecode Jam
Location: Workshop 2.
We are going to code exciting visual effects in real time to a high-energy DJ soundtrack. Forget about dancing with your feet, dance with your graphics coding skills, and feel the energy! If you look up "shader jam" or "byte jam" you'll find some examples.
All comers are welcome to watch! If you want to participate you will need a laptop and a little experience in Bonzomatic or TIC-80 livecoding. Get in touch with a Field-FX organiser before the jam to make sure you are set up in advance. For total beginners, we will be hosting an introductory TIC-80 workshop on Saturday that is a much better place to get your feet wet.
21:00 - Gasman Live Set
Location: Workshop 2.
The man, the legend, the ZX Spectrum. Known for the viral Bad Apple literal music video, this year's anthemic Revision invite song, and many other earworms that we dare not mention. Let his dulcet keytar get you fired up for the weekend!
22:00 - Vapor Cinema
Location: Workshop 2. Host: Stormcaller.
Stormcaller takes over the FieldFX workshop for a nightly selection of re-edited, re-coloured, re-scored, glitched out and deep fried cinema classics. Strobe warning.
Saturday Programme
08:45 - Saturday Morning Demoscene Cartoons
Light and accessible demos to help wake you up on Saturday morning. We've picked some demos with friendly characters, light themes, and an engaging accessible vibe to take it easy. Just sit back and watch!
17:15 - The Demoscene Gateway: Making Pretty Visual Effects with Code
Location: Workshop 2. Host: jtruk.
We'll explore the Demoscene, a digital art subculture focused on creating audiovisual effects to entertain and impress, using TIC-80, a free and joyful 'virtual console'.
We'll develop a selection of effects, leaving you with the skills and pointers to continue creating on your own.
We will be using the Lua language. Some very basic programming experience will be required but participants do not need to be familiar with Lua. There will be additional challenge available for more experienced programmers.
You will need a laptop with TIC-80 installed (scroll down below the browser version here: https://tic80.com/create)
19:00 - A DEMOPARTY IN A TENT
Location: Workshop 2.
We are back again for another beautiful, chaotic and creative demoparty in 2026 and this is our main party block, With competition screenings (check the website https://field-fx.party and take part!) and a little bit of a gentle introduction to the demoscene.
We don't require anything other than your presence and enthusiasm, but your entries would be great too. Be a part of the demoscene at EMF Camp! You will be able to vote on the entries, and the winners will be displayed at our prizegiving session on Sunday.
22:00 - Vapor Cinema
Location: Workshop 2.
Stormcaller's second nightly selection of re-edited, re-coloured, re-scored, glitched out and deep fried cinema classics. Strobe warning.
Sunday Programme

Feast your eyes on generative art, executable animations, music, art, and more. Come and see what the people of EMF and the demoscene have released at this year's Field-FX, as we round-up last night's demoparty and give cheers for the entries that the audience voted the best!
